The Louisiana Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (LACDL) is pleased to announce a new partnership with Association Management Partners (AMP) to provide association management and administrative support for the organization.

Based in Baton Rouge, AMP provides full service association management to professional and trade associations throughout Louisiana. The AMP team works across five core areas: Membership, Governance, Communications, Programs & Events, and Financial Management, providing the day to day support that allows volunteer leaders to remain focused on their organization’s mission and members.

"After five years away, I'm excited to bring LACDL back to Kathleen. The Selection and Executive committees did great work, in a very short period of time, and Kathleen and AMP stood out above the rest. We're excited about taking the organization to the next level with her and her team."

As part of the transition, Kathleen O’Regan, Executive Director of AMP, will serve as Executive Director of LACDL. O’Regan brings more than 17 years of association management experience and a familiar connection to LACDL. Earlier in her career with The Tatman Group, she worked with the association for several years and had the opportunity to get to know many of its leaders and members.

“It is exciting to have the opportunity to work with LACDL again,” O’Regan said. “I remember my years working with this organization fondly, and I have always admired the commitment of its members to one another, their profession and LACDL’s mission. Our entire AMP team is looking forward to supporting that work and becoming part of the LACDL community.”

Over the coming months, members will begin seeing the AMP team supporting LACDL’s membership, CLE programs and events, communications, financial operations, governance and other day to day association activities.

AMP’s approach is centered on relationships, collaboration and strong organizational support. The team looks forward to working closely with LACDL’s officers, Board of Directors, committees and members to build on the association’s strong foundation and support its continued work on behalf of Louisiana’s criminal defense community.

Members will have an opportunity to meet O’Regan and members of the AMP team at upcoming LACDL programs, including the Last Chance Seminar, December 3 through 5 in New Orleans.

LACDL and AMP look forward to this next chapter and to continuing to strengthen the programs, resources and community that LACDL provides its members.
